Discover the contraindications of Ginger Massage

Fever or infectious processes. Heat increases the metabolic load and may worsen the condition.

Acute inflammatory processes (recent injuries, arthritis flare-ups, acute pain). Heat increases inflammation and the vascular response.

Thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, or vascular risk. Vasodilation may promote thrombus mobilization.

Uncontrolled cardiovascular diseases. Heat and stimulation may alter the hemodynamic response.

Sensory disturbances (neuropathies, advanced diabetes). There is a risk of burns due to decreased thermal perception.

Injured skin, dermatitis, infections, or burns. Ginger and heat may aggravate skin irritation.

Allergy or sensitivity to ginger or essential oils. Risk of skin or irritant reaction.

Very prominent varicose veins or capillary fragility, microcirculatory disorders. Heat may worsen venous dilation.

Cancer patients. Heat and circulatory stimulation may not be suitable. Medical authorization is required, and intense heat should be avoided.

Neurological disorders: There may be an altered response to heat and stimuli, increasing the risk of an inappropriate reaction.

Epilepsy: Intense thermal and sensory stimulation may act as a trigger.

Children: Increased skin and thermal sensitivity, with a risk of excessive response to heat and active ingredients. Recommended age: 18 years and older. In children, the skin and thermoregulatory system are more sensitive, increasing the risk in heat treatments and with essential oils.

Pregnancy: Heat, stimulation of energy points, and the use of essential oils may generate unsafe responses; these areas and stimuli should be avoided.
